Seeking an estimator/senior estimator with 10 years of experience to join a nationally accredited GC based in Minneapolis. You will e involved in high-profile construction projects working with a driven and inclusive team. APPLY NOW FOR 24 HOUR CONSIDERATION Client Details Reputable General Contractor located in Minnesota with primary focus on Commercial & Healthcare projects. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking an experienced and driven Preconstruction Estimator to lead multiple projects across Minnesota alongside their Sr. Vice President working on projects anywhere from $15M - $100M. Offering an autonomous culture, key development, and family oriented feel. Description Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, and marketing presentations as requested. Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of certain sections and reviewing vendor quotations. Review and incorporate historical data from prior projects as required. Interface with Owner, A/E and /or subcontractors to provide accurate cost estimates. Prepare conceptual estimates as needed by our clients Participate in plan review and estimating reviews for prospective projects. Understanding of construction specifications and blueprint reading. Responsible for soliciting subcontractors/suppliers to ensure proper coverage. Utilize and complete the subcontractor pre-qualification. Identify and distribute documents to interested bidders. Leadership during the design process through a design-assist process, value engineering opportunities, alternates and material replacements, new techniques/ideas/products, and subcontractor relationships. Lead efforts to secure long lead subcontractors and materials Work with Cities and Municipalities to identify and procure required permits. Profile 10 year(s) experience in the estimating or project management field. Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
