seeking an exceptional, dedicated Second Grade Lead teacher to join
our highly collaborative Upper Elementary program (grades 2-5)
starting in the 2026-27 school year. Blake is an institution

You will be the academic and social-emotional leader of a
second-grade classroom, joining a skilled team of dedicated faculty

every student. Duties and Responsibilities Includes but not limited
to: Embrace Blake’s mission and values and commitment to pluralism
Collaborate with grade-level team and division colleagues to plan
and implement an appropriately challenging curriculum in
reading/language arts, math, science and social studies Promote
academic, social-emotional and physical development of children in
individual, small group and whole-class settings Assess students
using current strategies and tools to inform instruction and give
feedback Complete progress reports and participate in twice-yearly
parent-teacher conferences Supervise children during lunch and
afternoon carpool Integrate meaningful and appropriate use of
technology within the curriculum and as a communication tool Attend
Back-to-School Night, admissions open house, faculty workshop days,
grade-level and division meetings, relevant all-school events and
all mandatory professional development Application Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree and teaching credential
preferred) Minimum five years lead teaching experience working with
elementary-age students Salary Range: $56,000-$85,000. This
represents the expected annual salary for this position. In
determining salary, we consider professional experience, applicable
qualifications and other job-related factors. Based on these
factors, a candidate's salary offer could exceed this range.
