Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring a Design Engineer in Maplewood with a well-known industry leader. This role involves providing design assistance for products, parts, components, or portions of major projects. This is a first shift position. As a Design Engineer you will: Assist in the design and development of moderately complex components and systems. Apply CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks, to create and modify 3D models and technical drawings. Conduct sample prototyping and perform testing to validate design concepts. Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports to support engineering decisions. Identify design issues and collaborate with senior engineers to resolve them. Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards and project requirements. Estimated Duration 24 months The ideal candidate will have: The ideal candidate will work under moderate direction, applying standard engineering principles and practices to complete the development of functional and manufacturable designs. Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks. Experience with sample prototyping and hands-on testing. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting. Ability to work independently with moderate supervision. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
