Job Duties:

Work with data systems, both traditional and Big Data to help unlock the

value contained in the data. Work with Data Scientists and business

representatives to understand data requirements for analytics projects,

study existing company data systems to efficiently extract data. Gather

data from disparate sources in support of data and analytics projects,

write code, scripts, and queries as appropriate to efficiently extract

data from various data sources. Responsible for automating data

extraction and fusion of data sources. Will document data processes and

write data management recommended procedures and create training

materials relating to data management best practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Electrical

Engineering or Related Field plus eight (8) years’ experience in Data

Engineering & (Big) Data Analytics. Experience must include: Working

with data scientists, data architects, and domain experts across

multiple technology and manufacturing industries to identify and

document business data requirements, and translate requirements into an

executable data infrastructure plan with data generated by or stored in

ERP (Oracle, SAP, MS SQL), marketing (SFDC), and engineering systems,

and data generated by loT devices; Leveraging data technologies and

platforms to implement, modify, and maintain data architectures in

support of manufacturing businesses' requirements, including work with

SQL, the Hadoop ecosystem, and Hive, R and, Python programming

languages, shell scripting, visualization tools (Power BI and Tableau),

and both the Amazon AWS and MS Azure cloud platforms; Experience with

data modeling, ETL development, data profiling, data quality analysis

and data warehousing; Educating and inspiring business partners about

data engineering best practices and new developments; mentoring junior

staff and other technology staff on leveraging data architecture.

Position requires 25% Domestic and International Travel.
