Job Description:
This role will be part of the Ameriprise Bank Deposit Products
group. Ameriprise Bank is a fully digital bank that launched in
2019. It is a fast-growing start-up within Ameriprise Financial. We
seek a strong and experienced banking industry leader to help
continue to expand and grow our Bank Deposits business. The
position will lead complex product development projects and
initiatives and be responsible for the successful launch and
marketing of new products. The individual will recommend, develop
and implement plans to improve product features, service, sales,
marketing, processes, policies and procedures. This individual will
develop plans and drive the successful positioning and promotion of
Bank deposit products within the organization and with the sales
teams and advisors in order to help grow the Bank deposit business.
Responsible for representing the product line in the business and
with key business partners.Responsibilities:--- Lead a matrixed
team responsible for the completion of the design, build, and
launch of new bank deposit products, including collaborating on the
client and advisor experience components as well as servicing and
other BAU processes.--- Provide leadership and expertise on banking
regulatory/compliance rules and ensure product development, terms
and conditions meet all requirements.--- Collaborate with other
team members on recommendations for and/or enhancements to existing
products related to features, service, sales, marketing, processes,
polices, forms and procedures based on research and analytics to
identify client/advisor needs, marketplace opportunities and
competitive gaps.--- Lead large scale projects and drive results
through these projects.--- Act as product subject matter expert on
cross-organizational projects.--- Review and communicate business
and sales metrics and collaborate with other team members to make
recommendations to increase deposit product balances.---
Collaborate with key partners across the organization to ensure
that the Cash products' value proposition is represented within the
organization and advisor channels (i.e. sales teams, marketing,
training, field reporting, financial planning, etc.).--- Lead
across the organization to enhance advisor and client experience.
Resolve complex advisor/client issues.--- Lead team of product
managers to create and maintain a product reference guide that
includes all relevant product documentation, product rules,
disclosures, account agreements, marketing materials and client
letters.--- Recommend, update, and oversee policies and procedures
that ensure prudent risk management within the product line.---
Keep up to date on competitive environment for Bank Deposit
products and use competitive environment as basis for product
management recommendations.Required Qualifications:--- Bachelor's
degree.--- 10+ years progressive career experience, with a minimum
of five years' product management experience in the financial
services industry. --- Financial Services product development and
management experience; Bank Deposit Product (Savings, CDs,
Checking) or Bank Operations subject matter expertise.--- Expertise
in bank regulatory and compliance.--- Demonstrated track record of
partnering with technology and PMO to successfully develop and
launch bank deposit products.--- Strong people and project
leadership experience.--- Strong organizational skills and detail
oriented. --- Ability to make connections across information
sources to drive effective decision-making.--- Strong analytical
and problem-solving skills using data to identify trends and
opportunities.--- Strong relationship, negotiation and influencing
skills.--- Experience working cross functionally with technology,
operations, compliance, legal, sales and marketing.--- Proven track
record of driving results.--- Project management
experience.Preferred Qualifications:--- Experience working in an
Agile environment.--- Experience launching new products.---
Experience building business cases and using data to provide
quantitative analysis supporting recommended approaches.---
Knowledge of investment advisor-based sales environment.--- Ability
to travel monthly, or as needed, to Minneapolis if located in
