Job Title: RRT - ECMO Specialist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years RRT experience required. Minimum 1 year ECMO Specialist experience required. License: State License required. Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS RRT Must-Have: Must be an ECMO Specialist with training/experience specific to ECMO, not just patients receiving ECMO. Description: This position requires advanced knowledge and skills in respiratory therapy with a focus on ECMO. The candidate will work a 3x12-hour shift schedule, including rotating day and night shifts. Every other weekend is required. On-call duties may be necessary based on departmental needs. Candidates should have experience in adult critical care and airway management devices. Essential skills include endotracheal tube management, suctioning, extubation, and intubation assistance. Candidates must be familiar with various conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, COVID, ECMO, and pneumonia. Medication administration skills include knowledge of albuterol, inhaled steroids, and nitric oxide. Experience with nebulizer delivery systems and oxygen therapy methods is required. Knowledge of ventilator management and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms is essential. Candidates should possess ABG interpretation skills and be well-versed in chest physiotherapy techniques. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong professional knowledge and skills in respiratory care.
