dedicated to our employees, investing in competitive compensation
and comprehensive benefit plans – to take care of you and your
family, now and in the future. And with continuing education and

successful career with Mayo Clinic. Benefits Highlights • Medical:
Multiple plan options. • Dental: Delta Dental or reimbursement
account for flexible coverage. • Vision: Affordable plan with
national network. • Pre-Tax Savings: HSA and FSAs for eligible
expenses. • Retirement: Competitive retirement package to secure
your future. Responsibilities We are seeking a driven postdoctoral
research fellow with molecular biology and computational research
experience to join our collaborative research team. Dr. Conboy’s
hepatobiliary oncology lab is focused on understanding molecular
mechanisms of cancer to improve cancer therapies. Current projects
seek to define underlying mechanisms and functional consequences of
epigenetic dysregulation in cholangiocarcinoma, using novel mouse
models, syngenic cell lines, and patient-derived models. We are
interrogating models and patient datasets to (1) understand
pathogenesis and (2) develop targeted treatment approaches. The
long-term goal of this work is to identify promising strategies to
bring to clinical trials to improve outcomes for patients with
cholangiocarcinoma. The research environment is enriched by a
multidisciplinary working group including collaborators in the
Division of Medical Oncology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology,
Hepatobiliary Surgery, and Pharmacology. We collaborate closely
with the NIH-funded Hepatobiliary Specialized Program of Research
Excellence (SPORE), the NIH P30-funded Center for Cell Signaling in
Gastroenterology (C-SiG) and the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer
Center. This is a scientific environment with a strong commitment
to basic and translational research in liver diseases. Successful
candidates will be motivated and rigorous PhD scientists with
experience in molecular and/or computational biology. Ideal
candidates should have experience with molecular and cell biology
techniques including DNA/RNA/protein assays, cell culture and
cell-based assays. Prior experience or interest in mouse work is
optional. Computational skillsets including programming in R or
python, facility with analysis and visualization of large “omics”
datasets, and statistical hypothesis testing are highly desired.
Qualifications Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral
degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow
is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one
prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
