is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience,
education, certifications and location. The full salary range for
this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all
employees in these positions across the national market and
provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop

compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus

Senior Insurance Defense Trial Attorney at Liberty Mutual, you'll

represent Liberty Mutual and our policyholders in complex personal
and commercial lines civil litigation (including auto accidents,
premises liability, products liability, governmental liability,
construction defect, and subrogation) matters involving claims for
monetary damages or compensation for personal injuries or property
damages of large exposure. We encourage you to apply and bring your
expertise if you're a: Engaged legal professional: You'll manage
the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery though
trial prep and court proceedings representing clients in
depositions, site inspections, court hearings, trials, etc. and
negotiating settlements as required. Strategic partner :
Researching all applicable laws and findings, you'll develop
appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation and share
them with claims representatives and insured clients. People person
: You'll establish and maintain good relationships with claims
representatives and clients, and occasionally conduct training
sessions for Legal, Claims or other departments. Effective
communicator : You'll develop and render clear, unambiguous legal
opinions and strategies, and draft legal documents including
pleadings and motions. Collaborative Mentor : As needed, you'll
provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to junior attorneys,
prepare and conduct training sessions for the legal and claims
departments and collaborate with colleagues who are remotely
located. Qualifications What you've got Experience Membership in
the MN Bar Appropriate special licenses to practice before boards
or federal courts preferred A minimum of six years of successful
experience as an attorney Skills Talent for cultivating strong
working relationships with internal and external partners Aptitude
for detail-oriented, analytical thinking Persuasive oral and
written communication skills Knowledge General knowledge of
insurance law Familiarity with the latest developments in the
practice of law, as well as pertinent knowledge in related fields
Proficiency with technologies that reduce costs and facilitate the
