Job Description Job Description Direct Counsel represents an
Amlaw 100 firm seeking a Trademark Associate (2–3 years) to join
its growing Minneapolis intellectual property practice. The team
combines strong local presence with national and global resources
to support clients on complex IP and litigation matters. Key
Responsibilities Handle trademark clearance, counseling,
prosecution, registration, and maintenance within a national
trademark practice. Provide strategic guidance to clients on brand
protection and portfolio management. Optional but helpful:
experience in trademark licensing and enforcement. Draft
high-quality written work product and communicate effectively with
clients and colleagues. Maintain good standing with the Minnesota
Bar or obtain admission promptly. Ideal Candidate 2–3 years of
focused, consistent trademark experience. Excellent writing,
research, and interpersonal skills. Strong academic record and the
ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced practice.
Trademark enforcement matters is a plus Admitted to Minnesota Bar
or able to waive in Compensation Expected salary: $205,000–$225,000
per year Actual compensation is based on experience, location, and
other job-related factors. Full-time employees may also be eligible
for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health,

employee assistance programs.
