We offer on-the-job learning opportunities across additional modalities, giving you the chance to expand your skills and advance your career.Why Join Us?$5,000 sign-on bonusRelocation assistance availableFast-paced, ER-feel work environmentFlexible clinic-hour schedulesSupportive team of 25 Radiology TechnologistsOpportunities to cross-train in other modalitiesLocation at the Main Clinic and may rotate to others locations within Mankato area based on needs.The Radiologic Technologist works under general supervision to assist the Radiologist in performing diagnostic procedures for patients; and works effectively with patients and other Clinic personnel.Perform diagnostic procedures as required; achieve a high level of film quality.Assist patients throughout their visit to the department, making them feel comfortable and lending a hand whenever possible.Be proficient in the technical operation of all diagnostic equipment; use proper care in handling equipment.High Functioning Team: Work effectively with providers, management and co-workers within department and across the organization to ensure a high functioning team.Act as an agent to obtain medical information and history to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment.Allscripts / Electronic Health RecordDocumentation should be accurate, objective, timely, and relevant to the patients care.Manage task list using a team approachDocument discretely in TouchworksBe observant for film artifacts and keep them to a minimum; clean cassettes as necessary.Perform blood pressures, take pulse rate prior to contrast exams and provide appropriate documentation.Explain special procedures to patients and help them fill out the necessary paperwork.Monitor patients requiring/receiving contrast or other medications.Review consent forms with patients requiring special usage for biopsies and other special radiology procedures.Assist Radiologist and ensure maximum efficiency; set up for procedures and examinations; prepare drape/drape patient, obtain lab tests and other reports for review.Record vital signs; note abnormal conditions for Radiologist.Administer contrast in correct dosages; document as required, observe for patient reaction.Education and ExperienceFormal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; graduation from a certified Radiologic Technology Program; A.R.R.T.
